Growing up in NW Pennsylvania Joe cut his teeth as a little kid fishing worms for stocked trout with his Grandpa, or riding his bike to catch bass in ponds and creeks. He was introduced to Fly Fishing in his late teens and all these years later he’s created a life in the Sullivan County Catskills of NY where Fly Fishing in America took root. A personal obsession with technical dry fly fishing to selective trout and a lot of bench time tying custom fly patterns on his vice has only led to further this lifelong love affair with nature. A passion for clean, rich, moving water and hungry wild trout lit a flame that can’t be quenched. When not guiding or fishing by himself or with friends Joe can be found in his home workshop where he is a Custom Furniture Artist hand crafting modern heirloom pieces with Metals and Hardwoods for Clients in NY and across the Country.
